Good afternoon, everyone. I'm Lauren from 4Seas, a Zuzalu community in Chiang Mai. So the building on the screen is a five-story building in a very lively part of the city. That's what I will talk about in the next few minutes. The wave of AI has reached every industry.
Internet, healthcare, manufacturing, advertising, and more. And our ideas about family, education, work, and city planning are changing fast as well. At the same time, our world is getting more chaotic. Each of us has to face it.
The answer doesn't lie in large institutions or large-scale solutions. It lies in whether technology can be used well in places where different communities can share their ideas and find what actually works, and in looking to everyday life and to communities for the patterns of the next era.
So we are looking for the right ways to use technology through communities. This is the direction we believe in. From the Bitcoin white paper to Ethereum, this is the world we want to live in.
Zuzalu
We are part of the Zuzalu community, and Zuzalu started in Montenegro in 2023. Since then, we've been exploring whether a permanent node with the Zuzalu model can work. Along the way, we have met a lot of questions, and to be honest, we are still figuring some of them out.
And here are some questions we have met before. First, what can a permanent node do for pop-up cities? A physical space has one advantage: it can work with all kinds of nomadic cities and give pop-up cities the local support.
Second, how do we get along with the rest of the communities? We have to find our own role and do something for communities already in the city, so we become a hub where the communities can come across each other, where we become partners.
And third, how does a physical node grow? Our community keeps growing, and it needs different things. That makes our operation much more complex. So right now, beyond the co-living and co-working parts, we are building more parts like Mind Brewing, children's space, longevity.
Each one is an independent module, and they all can fit together. At the first page, I showed you a picture of our building, but Zuzalu Chiang Mai is not a building. It is a neighborhood. A neighborhood is many communities connected.
That means we collaborate with pop-up cities and builders from around the world, like many of you here today. And we work with government, with innovation agencies from government, with communities from tech, arts, health, with foundations, volunteers, and also with local business like farms, gyms.
We are so grateful for all these partners we have, and if we can face the challenges of our time together with all these partners, we may find the right ways to use technology and a healthier future.
Thank you.
