My name is Daniel Thompson, and I am the founder and CEO of Noma Collective. So, Noma Collective is a digital nomad network society, and what that means is we offer digital nomads a place to work, live, and travel.

0:22五年前在 Belize 海灘誕生，現在 crazy 地說 community 超過 6 萬人，2025 年在 32 國跑了 45 場 pop-up。我 realize 的一件事是：digital nomadism 不是 movement 本身。It was born on the beaches of Belize five years ago, and now, crazy to say, we have over 60,000 people in our community, and in 2025, we ran 45 pop-ups in 32 countries. So, one of the things that I realized is I think digital nomadism is not the movement.

We have a job and a life in the same place. Number two, remote ready. What that means is we've got the job, but we're not yet taking advantage of that job.

These people, they travel a couple months of the year, but they're still mainly based in one country. And then you've got digital nomadism. Like, we all know what that means. A digital nomad is traveling, maximum expansion phase. Now, for me, there's a big distinction between a workationer and a digital nomad, and that is how long you travel.

1:54通常 workationer 是六個月以下，digital nomad 是以上。原因是國家考慮你是否 tax resident 常看這個門檻。Normally, it's either under six months for a workationer or over for a digital nomad. And the reason for that is that's normally what a country will consider when thinking about you as a tax resident.

2:08就世界和 nomenclature 而言，journey 到這裡就停了。但我不這麼認為。我們在創新詞，我 excited 的是 multi-local。意思是什麼？So, as far as the world's concerned, and nomenclature for that matter, that's where the journey stops. But I don't believe that's the case. And so we're coming up with new words, and the new word I'm excited about is multi-local. And what does that mean?

2:25你在不只一個地方生活、有 home，仍旅行。我認為這是重要的新 stage。It means that you live and have a home in more than one place. So you're putting down roots, but you're still traveling. And I think that's a really important new stage that we have to consider.

2:39下一 stage 是 family first，我在這。從個人思維轉向 collective。我認為終點是 multigenerational network societies。The next stage after that is family first. This is where I'm at. You are going from thinking about things as an individual to thinking about things as a collective. And then I think it all ends in multigenerational network societies.

2:57Noma 三層生態系

2:57看這個，society 需要祖父母、孩子、中間所有人。看這些 stage，Noma Collective 這類 community 在當 network state movement 的 top of funnel。So if you look at this, for me, as a society, it needs grandparents, it needs kids, and it needs everyone in between. So if you're looking at these stages, what you can see, in my opinion, is you have a community like Noma Collective that's serving as a top of funnel for the network state movement.

3:20現在講 journey。Noma 建的 ecosystem 服務這些 stage。三層：第一 physical layer，透過 membership 連結的 physical location 網路。第二 digital layer。So now I'll tell you a bit about the journey. I want to talk a little bit about the ecosystem that Noma is building to serve all of these different stages. So we have three layers. The first is a physical layer. And for me, that's a network of physical locations that are all connected via a membership. The second is a digital layer.

3:43marketplace，有 journey 上所有需求的產品。第三 governance layer，解決 soft governance 或 second passport、residency、tax 等 hard problems。That's a marketplace that has all of the products that serve all of your needs along that journey. And then the third is a governance layer. And for me, that solves a couple problems. That could be the soft governance in your community. Or it could be the harder problems like second passports, residencies, taxes, etc.

4:04我對 permanent hub 很 excited。很高興說我們第一個 permanent hub 在 Freeport, The Bahamas。為什麼 Freeport？四件事：距 Miami 20 分鐘；最早 special economic zone 之一。So for me, I'm really excited about permanent hubs. And so I'm really excited to say that we have our first permanent hub, and that is in Freeport, The Bahamas. Why Freeport? Freeport has four things going for it, in my opinion. Twenty minutes from Miami. It was one of the first ever special economic zones.

4:27Freeport 與永久據點

4:27massive horizontal scalability，為 25 萬人建但只有 5 萬人住。還有我見過最美的海灘之一。但有問題：Dorian 和 COVID 重創，完全依賴 cruise ship tourism。我有解法。It has massive horizontal scalability. 250,000 people it was built for, and only 50,000 people currently live there. And finally, some of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. But it has problems. Mainly, it was completely devastated by Dorian and COVID. And so what you've got is a place completely reliant on cruise ship tourism. But I have a solution to that.

4:53long-stay tourism 和 digital nomad 可以 symbiotic，為這地方創造關係。結束前留兩件事：Noma Collective 2027 年底前會有三個 permanent hub。第一是 Freeport；第二在 Próspera, Honduras，focus family 和 education；第三在 Paraguay，focus digital nomad tax residency。I think long-stay tourism and digital nomads can come together and create a symbiotic relationship for this place. So before I finish, I'm going to leave you with two things. The first is that Noma Collective will have three permanent hubs by the end of 2027. The first is Freeport I just mentioned. The second is in Próspera, Honduras, and we're going to be focusing on family and education in that hub.

5:21最後想說：我會持續跟 sovereign nation 為 community 談判，不只為更好的生活，也為孩子更好的成長環境。And the final one is going to be in Paraguay, where we're focusing on digital nomad tax residencies. So, to end, I want to say this. I will continue to discuss and negotiate with sovereign nations for our community, not only to have a better life, but a better life for our kids to grow up in.
