0:00天啊，終於輪到我了。大家醒醒吧！我是 Pauline。我是一個專業的抱怨者，也很會挑毛病，同時也是 ChangeNOW 的首席策略長。開始之前，請大家看看這個包包。這包包看起來不錯吧？是我親手做的，我很自豪。但這個包包一開始並不是包包，它原本只是馬皮、幾條線、一些金屬零件和一張紙樣。每個零件都有用，也有價值。但如果我把這些零件裝進一個盒子或袋子給你，你一定會覺得這只是一堆垃圾，沒錯。要把這些零件變成真正能用的東西，需要有人——也就是我——把它們組合起來。還要選對工具、裁皮、縫合、組裝，確保一切能協同運作。拿這個包包的人根本不用知道我是怎麼做的，也不用懂每一針每一線，更不用選皮革、針線，他們只要提著走就好，超簡單。Oh my God, finally. Everybody snooze and wake up. My name is Pauline. I am a professional hater, a very avid complainer, and also CSO of a nifty little project called ChangeNOW. Before I start the actual important part of my keynote, I would like you to take a little look at this bag, okay? It looks pretty good. I made it myself with my own hands, and I'm proud of it. But this bag didn't start as a bag. It started as a fine horsehide, some thread, a few metal parts, and a paper pattern. Every part was useful and every part had value. But if you had placed all of those parts in a box or a bag and handed them to you, you would think that is just a bunch of junk, and you would be right. To turn those parts into something that you can actually use, somebody, me, had to bring them together. Someone, also me, had to choose the right tools, cut the leather, join the parts, sew it up. And make sure everything worked as one. The person who carries this bag doesn't really need to know how I did all of it. They do not need to understand every stitch of this thing. They do not need to choose the right leather, right needle, or the right thread. They just pick up the bag and carry it around. Easy enough.

1:59你可能會想，為什麼我在加密貨幣大會上講皮包？因為加密產業已經打造出新金融系統的所有零件，然後把這些零件丟給你，叫你自己組裝。加密貨幣曾承諾要移除中間人，記得嗎？我們要消滅銀行、守門人、延遲和限制。某種程度上我們做到了，值得鼓勵。但我們只移除了中間人，卻沒移除中間人的工作。結果不是一個 app，而是給大家一堆交易所、錢包、兌換服務、跨鏈橋、質押平台、上下金流、交易 app、支付 app。這問題我自己也遇過，就在新加坡買咖啡的時候。我用 Apple Pay 綁了加密卡，但忘了卡裡沒錢。要補錢很簡單吧？但我錢包裡只有 Tron 上的 USDT，卡片只支援 Ethereum 上的 USDC。於是我得先把 USDT 換成 USDC，結果沒 gas。後面排隊的人越來越多，大家開始竊竊私語，我超緊張，咖啡都做一半了我也不能走。最後我只好把錢轉到中心化交易所，再提領到另一個網路。複製 CEX 地址、等入金、再複製卡片錢包地址、回到 CEX，手都在抖。還要密碼、兩組二階段驗證，提款等了一分鐘，後面的人都走了。終於錢進卡片錢包，補值、付錢，冰塊都快融光了，頭低低地離開。這麼多麻煩、壓力、尷尬，只為了一杯還不好喝的拿鐵。Now, you may be wondering why I'm showing you a leather bag at a crypto conference. Because crypto has built all of the parts of a new financial system. Then it handed all the parts to you and said, Now build it yourself. Crypto promised to remove the middleman, remember? We were going to remove the banks, the gatekeepers, the delays, and the limits. And in many ways we did, kudos to us. But we removed the middleman without removing the middleman's job. Instead of one app, we gave people an exchange, a wallet, a swap service, a bridge, a staking platform, and on and off-ramp, a trading app, a payment app. I ran into this problem myself over something completely ordinary. I just wanted to pay for a coffee here in Singapore. I had a crypto card ready to go in my Apple Pay. However, I forgot that I ran out of balance on it. To pay for my delicious caffeinated beverage, I had to top it up. It should have been simple. However, on my non-custodial wallet, I only had USDT on Tron, and my card, unfortunately, only supports USDC on Ethereum. So first, I had to open my wallet and swap some USDT to USDC, but I didn't have any gas. The line behind me kept building. I could hear people just like whispering around, made me nervous, and I couldn't just leave because the barista was already making my coffee. I was trapped. So, I move some money to a centralized exchange so that I can withdraw a different asset on a different network. Copy my CEX address and the transaction out. The deposit takes time. People behind me are getting frustrated. I can hear their feet tapping. I go to my app, copy my Card Wallet address, and go back to the CEX. My hands are starting to shake. I have anxiety. Now, I had to put in a password and two separate two-factor codes in order to complete my withdrawal. The withdrawal takes one minute. People behind me are starting to leave. I understand them. Finally, I got my coffee money in my card wallet, hallelujah. I top up the card, pay for my beverage with the ice half melted already, and leave with my head down. All of that work, that stress, that shame for a nice latte which didn't even taste good.

5:01加密自由還是加密折磨？用戶的真實困境

5:01加密貨幣說要移除中間人，結果給大家 12 個 app、6 條鏈、4 個錢包、3 組助記詞，還說這叫金融自由。我們產業內部把這叫做選擇、開放存取、工具互通，這些確實很重要，我不是要批評。但一般用戶看到的完全不一樣，他們只看到一堆 app、帳號、餘額、手續費、要信任的公司，還有各種可能出錯的地方。加密工具已經夠多了，問題是大家得自己把它們串起來，每多一個步驟就多一個風險：多一個地址要複製、多一個網路要檢查、多一個服務要維護、多一個機會搞丟錢。然後出事時，我們只會說「你應該多做點功課」。但如果成千上萬的人都犯同樣的錯，這就不是用戶錯，是產品有問題。我們叫大家當自己的銀行，但這不是自由，這根本是折磨，完全是鬼扯。自由不該是每個簡單動作都要做十個技術選擇，也不該是用 15 個 app 拼湊自己的金融系統，更不該是用戶承擔所有風險，產品卻不用負責。Crypto promised to remove the middleman. Instead, it gave people 12 apps, 6 networks, 4 wallets, 3 seed phrases, and called it financial freedom. Inside our industry, we call this choice. We call it open access. We call it a system where different tools can work together. And yes, all of that certainly matters. I'm not gonna, like, talk shit about it. Don't worry. But the end user sees something completely different. They see a bunch of apps, accounts, balances, fees, companies to trust, and places where something can go wrong. Crypto has enough tools already. The problem is that people have to connect them themselves, and every extra step. And that process carries an extra risk: another address to copy, another network to check, another service to maintain, another chance to lose money. Then, when something goes wrong, we tell the user, You should have done more research. But when thousands of people keep making the same mistake, It is not just user error. It is a product problem. We ask people to be their own bank, but it's not freedom that's fucked up and that's total bullshit. Freedom does not mean that every simple action should come with ten tech choices. It does not mean that people should have to build their own financial system from 15 different apps. And it does not mean that you should carry all the risk while the product carries none of the blame.

6:55這幾年我們產業都在拼命做更好的零件、更快更便宜的鏈、更多錢包、更多橋、更多 app，這些零件都很強，市場也證明技術和基礎建設沒問題。但為什麼用起來還是這麼累？我要講一個很有爭議的觀點：下一個十億用戶根本不該碰區塊鏈。沒錯，他們的資產會在鏈上，系統也還在，交易還是會跑，但用戶不該自己操作。他們只要選結果，產品應該幫他們搞定過程。這不是要再創一個守門人，也不是要剝奪大家的主控權，而是要讓大家有主控權，但不用自己管理整個金融系統的每個細節。For years, our industry has focused on building better parts, faster and cheaper chains, more wallets. More bridges, more apps, and the parts are strong. The market has already shown that the technology and infrastructure works. But why does using it still feel like work? I'm going to say something controversial right now. The next billion crypto users should never have to touch a blockchain. Sure, their assets may live on a blockchain. The system will still be there because the transactions will still go back and forth. But the user should not have to run it. They should choose the result, and the product should be the one that handles the path. This does not mean creating a new gatekeeper. And it does not mean taking control away from people. It means giving them that control without forcing them to manage every single part of the financial system.

8:07ChangeNOW 的解法：從單一功能到超級 App

8:07這不只是個想法，這就是我們 ChangeNOW 正在解決的問題。2017 年我們的目標很簡單，就是讓加密兌換變簡單，讓用戶可以輕鬆換資產，不用繁瑣設定、複雜步驟或隱藏限制。一開始這樣做還不錯，但我們發現一鍵兌換並不等於好用的加密體驗。所以我們問自己：用戶真的需要更多加密工具，還是需要更少但能互通的工具？這就是我們現在在 ChangeNOW 做的改變。我們從只做單一加密動作的產品，轉型成圍繞用戶全生命週期的超級 App。And this is just not an idea for us. It is the problem that we're solving at ChangeNOW right now. In 2017, we started with one simple goal. We wanted to make crypto exchange simple. We wanted to give our customers the possibility to go from one asset to another without long setup, complex steps, or hidden limits. And for a while that worked, but then. We saw something important. One easy swap does not create an easy crypto experience. So, we had to ask ourselves a bigger question. Do people really need more crypto tools, or do they need fewer tools that work better together? That is the change that we're making at ChangeNOW right this moment. We are moving from a product built around one crypto action to a super app built around the full life of a crypto user.

9:18所謂超級 App，不只是把一堆功能塞在一起，因為一長串工具湊在一起不等於超級 App，重點是這些工具怎麼協同運作。用戶可能先買資產，再存放、部分兌換、交易或轉給別人。有了超級 App，每個步驟都能無縫接續，資產、動作、選擇都在同一個連貫體驗裡。企業用戶也一樣慘，客戶要用加密付款、要換資產，公司內部還要讓支付商、交易所、上下金流全部串起來，還是一堆零件，只是多了公司 logo，就像我這個背包一樣。And when I say super app, I do not just mean more features in one place, because a long list of tools all mashed together does not make a super app. The way those tools work together is the thing that does. A user may want to start by buying an asset. Then they may want to store it, swap part of it, trade it, or send it to someone. With a super app, the next step starts where the last one ended, users' assets, their actions, and their choices are all part of the one connected experience. And businesses face the same goddamn mess. A customer wants to pay in crypto, another wants to swap an asset. Someone at the company has to make the payment provider, the exchange, the ramp, and everything in between work together. It's still a box of parts. It just has a company logo on it, just like on my backpack over here.

10:26產品該做的事：讓用戶只看到成果

10:26這就是 ChangeNOW 要做的超級 App。用戶應該只要選結果，我們負責把零件串起來。這也是我為什麼帶這個包包來。你看到這包包，不會想到紙樣、線、工具、裁切、膠水，只看到一個完整、好用、能用的東西。所有零件都還在，但你不用自己管。加密產品也該如此。下一個十億用戶根本不用懂區塊鏈，他們需要的是懂區塊鏈的產品。他們應該能像用法幣一樣用錢。加密產業這幾年都在做更好的帳本、更強的安全、更犀利的工具，現在該做的是「包包」。因為說真的，現在不是輕鬆的時代，未來可能更難。到時候，沒有人該被迫搞懂五個 app、三條鏈、哪個橋還能用。也許那時候，這個包包就不只是包包，而是你會慶幸自己有帶的東西。This is what makes ChangeNOW a super app. Clients should be the ones who choose the results. And we should be the ones who connect the parts. And that is why I brought this bag. When you look at it, you do not see the paper pattern, you do not think about the thread, the tools, the cuts, or the glue I had to wipe off my fingers. It actually makes them incredibly dry now that I think of it. You see something complete, something useful, something that works. All the parts are still there, but you do not have to manage them. Crypto should work the same way. So yes, the next billion people who come into crypto do not need to understand blockchains. They need products that understand blockchains for them. They should simply be able to use their money as if they would fiat. Crypto has spent years making the ledger better, the threats stronger, and the tools sharper. Now it is time to make the bag. Because frankly, We are not living through easy times. And they may get harder. And when that happens, nobody should have to figure out five apps, three networks, and which bridge still works. Maybe then, this bag stops being just a bag. Maybe it becomes the thing you are very glad you packed.
